Youth Over Guns is a grassroots, youth-led advocacy group, operating under the auspices of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence Education Fund (501c3) and it’s sister organization New Yorkers Against Gun Violence (501c4). We build youth power in marginalized communities throughout the nation, and advocate for policies and programs that reduce gun violence as a whole; with a particular focus on solutions that will save lives in underserved communities of color.

Youth Over Guns is shifting the gun violence prevention discourse towards an evidentiary approach to keeping schools and communities safe. By concentrating on historically oppressed communities and leading with Black and Brown Youth most impacted by the gun violence crisis — we strive to eradicate gun violence and foster safety and justice.
